The far left is really no different than the far right. Noisy, loud, dogmatic, ignore uncomfortable facts, make up "facts" to fit their beliefs, intolerant to dissent, etc. While the targets of their bigotry are mostly different, they are both bigoted. The Horseshoe Theory.

Frey did a good job during the ICE invasion last winter. People came together to defend each other like nothing I've ever seen in Minnesota. We had one goal, to deter ICE. We're all aware that that the ICE invasion was retribution towards Walz because Trump hates him, and because we are a Sanctuary City. We dealt with it. Social Media is full of self proclaimed journalists with an axe to grind, and they point to other media as a news source. They name people who don't even exist. Nick Shirley pointed out the fraud that's been going on for over 30 years that we allowed to continue. There were reports in 2018 that no one would pay attention to. A few were prosecuted. People have strong opinions about what is wrong, but few do anything about it. Extreme left and right are two sides of the same coin; self righteous noise, fury at the system, and zero positive action.

Waltz was not why ICE came here in force. It was our policy of being a "sanctuary" city/state combined with widespread fraud, much of which was committed by immigrants. If that was not enough we created laws and rules against working with the Feds, so why is anyonesurprisedthey came. I also don't understand why we are so easily led to discredit the whistle-blower instead of embracing the incredibly obvious message. Shirley merely pointed out what our government officials should have known because those that went to Shirley went to their superiors several times.

Much of this started AT the Council level, going back a few years now. Sad what some highly paid, tax payor supported " representatives" would be able to say and do...WHILE AT WORK. The examples set by some of this DSA aligned faction have been extremely poor.

Excerpts..

"Her allegations of abuse of power — so far offered without evidence — were irresponsible."

"Council Vice President Linea Palmisano did respond, and she would embrace more cohesive council action, including potentially a censure of Wonsley. She'd also like to give the city's ethics code more teeth.

Beyond the comments on Frey, Palmisano expressed a deep disappointment in Wonsley's characterization of a "thoughts-and-prayers Council" and "the disposition of this Council — the most useless" in the interview.

"Together we've brought forward, passed policies that generate meaningful improvements for residents across our cities, including things she's been a part of," Palmisano said. Wonsley's comments "are very disrespectful and damaging to the reputation of this body" as well as being "blatant lies."

"Along with Council President Andrea Jenkins, Palmisano issued a leadership statement that said Wonsley "made numerous false allegations about the legislative body and the City enterprise as a whole. As a body, the Council has — and embraces — many different viewpoints, but collectively we strive to uphold basic values of decency, respect, inclusion, and truthfulness. Council Member Wonsley's comments represent a sharp departure from those shared values."

Mike Norton on Twitter is a good example of a person with Frey Derangement Syndrome (FDS)
