This race seems very, very important to me. How many times to we see in a police report, however brief, 'suspects were known to police'. That seems to me to be a cry for help by the police force--they know who is breaking in to our cars, homes, etc. but they can't keep them off the street because Mary Moriarty just won't let them. By the same token her policies of "early intervention" and "diversion" have been abject failures. Just look where we are today.
