My office was located on this campus, during the Honeywell ownership days, and was considered the company headquarters. When Honeywell was acquired by Alliant, the decision was to sell the campus because Alliant wanted to maintain headquarters in Delaware for tax purposes. At the time, it seemed impossible that another buyer could be found for such a large facility in this location (we used to avoid the conference room overlooking the crack house across the street). Wells Fargo made the purchase, and lost millions. Now there is a bold new vision which I hope becomes reality because it is a shame for this property to sit unused and headed toward decline. I hope partners can be found with a solid track record, integrity and lots of money.
