I didn’t listen to the interview, but read the summary. Seems like her priorities are right. While Trump is largely responsible for affordability issues for working families (tariffs, cuts to ACA, Medicare/Medicaid, tax cuts for the wealthy), I hope she doesn’t fall into the trap of running a campaign against him. Dems have not had much success pointing out his near-infinite list of personal and professional failings. Tell me instead what you are going to do for all of us.
Maybe most importantly, I believe it was James Carville that coined the phrase, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Stay strong on that message.
Not going to happen in Mpls, because we STILL have too many now in important positions that will continue to do serious damage to the Democratic Party, but elsewhere in the greater Metro...yes, please, do LISTEN to Carville.
Democratic strategist James Carville said support from some on the left for the push to defund the police has become a major hindrance for the party’s candidates, including Vice President Harris during her presidential campaign.
“We could never wash off the stench of it,” Carville said in an interview with The New York Times.
He added that the phrase “defund the police” is “the three stupidest words in the English language.”
I'd have liked to hear a few more specifics on how to make health care and housing more affordable, and because I'm now a parody of the centrist voter, a plan to get to deficit reduction. But for an introductory interview (to me, only really knew her as a Rep holding steady in a purple seat) it was really good!
For someone that has successfully run a business for many years it always surprises me how left some her views are while many are spot on. Like many in the party there was no consideration of the affects of fraud on our healthcare and housing costs which makes me believe she might hate Trump more than she likes her constituents. Perhaps she should sit in on some of the upcoming fraud legislation to understand the scope and leftover devastation of it.
Terry, will you get a chance to interview some of the other candidates? It would be interesting to hear from for example.... Billy Nord, as well as adam Schwarze.
She seems like a reasonable candidate. I disagree with her on a couple of issues no candidate is perfect 🙂
I do know from reading Twitter that the Left flank of the dfl does not like her....

I have invited Peggy Flanagan. I can send invites to Billy and Adam.
Wonderful! Thank you Terry.
