Outstanding insights. I espeically appreciate that the TC metro pays more in taxes than it consumes. Most would assume that is not the case. Federally, MN also pays more than it consumes.
Agree, that is the one hugely negative from last night. I suspect, within a year, two at the most, many, especially in Mpls, will regret putting Frazier in this important position, and especially when we had such an immensely qualified candidate, like Folk, ready to help all of the 45 cities in the County. Hard not to be envious looking over at Ramsey County, with Choi as their County Attorney, who has ability to do the job and is respected for his efforts. That never happened with Moriarty and won't likely happen with Frazier either.
Like many, I'm thrilled we held Trump and MAGA accountable. Now, when will we hold accountable the Democrats who blocked hearings by the OLA on fraud? The far left is no better than the far right.
I just checked in on Alaska, since interested in that Dan and Dan issue...AND their ranked choice process. Thankfully, Democrats don't need ( although nice to have), Alaska. It could be weeks out before all is settled. 🤯
Alaska Senate race unresolved as candidates expect weekslong ballot-counting process
November 4, 2026 / 10:32 AM EST / CBS News
Washington — The Senate race in Alaska remains unresolved Wednesday, as a contest that has garnered widespread attention over the two candidates named Dan Sullivan faces a lengthy ballot-counting process.
Incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola are facing off in the race, which also has two other candidates on the ballot: an independent candidate and retired teacher Daniel J. Sullivan, and another Republican, Gerald Heikes.
With around three-quarters of the vote in as of Wednesday morning, the race remains a toss-up, according to CBS News estimates.
The count in Alaska could stretch on. Alaska has a ranked-choice voting system, which allows voters to rank as many or as few candidates as they'd like in order of preference. If no candidate secures support from more than 50% of voters as their top choice, the count goes to a second round.
The ranked-choice tabulation doesn't occur until the last counting of ballots 15 days after Election Day, meaning the process could drag on for weeks if one candidate does not secure more than 50% of first-place support on the ballot
Thank you for keeping us informed and for your thoughtful commentaries Terry!
From Adam Kinzinger, one of my favorite people, this quite brave Republican.

"To my MAGA friends: Enjoy this weekend. Seriously.
After Tuesday, your movement is finished. That feeling of powerlessness you remember? It’s coming back.
And you’ll spend years looking back at this moment, furious that you had power—and flushed it down Trump’s golden toilet. Never to return "
TODAY from Adam...
" I'm absolutely speechless this morning. And so proud of America. "

I love Adam K. - we need more like him. Among other things, he is a huge advocate for Ukraine.

The only rain on the parade is Cedric Frazer is the new DA

I absolutely agree, Terri. This is a huge negative. I can only hope there is another role for Folk whether at the City, County or other level.

while the big blue 🔵 wins might be good for the country, another Trifecta here in Minnesota will be dreadful.
